His name is Drake.
For six years he worked with Marine Special Operations as a Multi-Purpose Canine. While most of us step back from danger, Drake was trained to move toward it.
He tracked high-value targets on missions that could not fail. He found hidden explosives before they could take a life. He was shot twice protecting the team beside him.
The scar on his shoulder came from shrapnel in an IED blast in Helmand Province. Bleeding and hurt, he kept working and located four more devices nearby. That slight limp is from the rounds he took during an ambush while covering his handler. Because of Drake, a young Marine made it home to his child.
He received a Navy Commendation Medal and a Purple Heart. He is credited with helping save more than forty lives.
He has never bitten a person. The only things he ever went after were the threats he was trained to stop.

BREAKING: HOLY SH*T! The European Union formally opens the door for Canada to join them as an "associate member," delivering a world historic rebuke to Donald Trump.

This was absolutely unthinkable just a few short months ago...

“We must urgently reimagine our partnerships. I would like to work with you on opening the door for Canada to be the first associate member of the European Union," Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, said to Carney during a dramatic speech in Strasbourg, France.

Carney was seated to von der Leyen's left as she delivered the remarks, which have sent shockwaves around the world. The response in the room was immediate and overwhelming as lawmakers surged to their feet to applaud.

Von der Leyen described the new relationship as “not a partnership against anyone else, but for our common strength.” The announcement comes in the wake of Trump's decision to shred America's alliance with Canada by imposing a pointless, self-sabotaging trade war on our northern neighbor in a desperate effort to project strength to his MAGA base. We are seeing the consequences of his disastrous leadership unfold at breakneck pace.

The rationale for both sides is self-evident. On one side they have an ascendent, authoritarian China and on the other hand they have a United States that has become totally unstable, unreliable, and unpredictable. Rather than leave themselves at the whims of these two different but equally dangerous juggernauts, they're banding together.

While the full details of this unprecedented restructuring of the world order have not yet been revealed in full, Canada and the EU are exploring closer cooperation on tech and the new arrangement would almost certainly allow Canadian goods, services, and workers in energy, AI, and defense to move freely in and out of the EU. Currently, between 68% to 75% of Canada's goods exports flow into the United States. Under this new EU agreement, that number would likely dramatically decrease.

They're also exploring the possibility of a closer defense alliance amongst EU nations which Von der Leyen suggested could be akin to creating “Europe’s own Article 4" which when “triggered by one member state, all member states would convene.”

If successful, as it seems likely to be, this EU associate membership would cement Carney as one of Canada's greatest historic leaders. His country would gain greater trade links to a $21 trillion single market, while simultaneously decoupling them from an abusive, increasingly fascist United States.
