I have some very exciting news as next week I’ll be starting as a multimedia reporter for @bauermedia covering the South East of England with @greatesthitsuk 🎙️🤩
The government's promised to halve the number of long-term rough sleepers in the next five years.
Ministers say they'll invest £3.5 billion into helping people off the streets, but charities say it doesn't go far enough.
I've just been ushered into a lecture hall to watch it with members of the public. It's one in one out for the public gallery currently.
My job is to report on your behalf. This is why I'm frustrated both the public and journalists can't get into the chamber.
This may sound like a boo-hoo.
But upon arrival at KCC today I was told press were no longer admitted to sit at the back of the council chamber.
Instead we have to use the public gallery taking away seats from the public who now have to sit in overspill rooms to watch.
Sadly, too many young people across the country are being denied the help they are legally entitled to and I’m so glad this issue got the attention it deserved today, running on LBC News throughout this morning and on a range of bulletins across Global.
After a few enjoyable months with Centrepoint, it was great to work with LBC on this piece - who did a brilliant job turning our gatekeeping research into a story for the airwaves.
Here’s what ran on Shelagh Fogarty’s show, who discussed it with the I Paper’s Vicky Spratt.

7 years ago my dad passed away.
The last thing we did together was watch the 2018 Austrian GP.
Now, in 2025, I’m off to watch the Austrian GP live for the weekend.
I even have a necklace in the shape of the track, with some of his ashes in.
A really special moment for me ❤️
