Earlier today I had lunch with Beatriz (MU Postdoctoral Research Scientist from Spain) as part of the @MUWomensCenter Language Partners program. Through this and Compañeros de Conversación, I've improved my Spanish and had the opportunity to learn from some amazing people!
It was a pleasure to share my story about working with the immensely talented Dr. Amanda Hinnant as her Discovery Fellow. For anyone thinking of attending MU, be sure to check out the Honors College Scholars & Fellows Programs. I can't wait to continue research abroad!
This summer I plan to spend two months studying Spanish language, literature, culture and Andean society abroad in Peru and Spain. This will be my longest stint outside the U.S. to date! Does anyone have any local recommendations for restaurants, trails, museums, etc., to visit?
I am ecstatic to be joining the outstanding staff of the Monteverde News and working under @RadioBabe during my Spring 2022 Costa Rica internship. Cloud forests, great weather and a newsroom of passionate, inspired journalists... What more could I ask for?

Through my investigative reporting, I strive to create a more just and equitable society when I serve historically marginalized and underrepresented groups and individuals as a journalist.
