@SharpClarkeNFL Is your thought that Grizzard will be able to replicate Liam Cohen’s success? I’m surprised to see optimism compared to market for both Jag’s and Buc’s as I would think the nature of Cohen’s departure would make those teams slightly negatively correlated.
Big void in the space with exit of @BetTheBoardPod and the simple handicap @adamchernoff. Wondering if there’s anyone out there that’s going to step up and fill that role…. Heading into week 1 and it sure doesn’t look like it @ToddFuhrman@PayneInsider
Any rec’s appreciated!!!
@Top100Rick I think they could solve this issue pretty easily with a modified shotgun for day 3. Take this example for a noon start
Worst 13 groups shotgun holes 1-13 at Noon
Group 14: 12:10
Group 15: 12:20
Group 16: 12:30
Keeps the viewing window condensed w/ a likely traditional finish
@Top100Rick Pretty silly when you consider there is a small amount of pga tour pros that hit their 7 iron more than 200 yards on a stock shot at near sea level.
@KingSlenderNES @LouStagner Many clubs that do their own hole handicapping will take the average score compared to par and make the most difficult hole the lowest hcp on the side.
@potatokmish Compared to other tracks course history matters a lot at Augusta. Favor good approach play and typically players don’t come out of nowhere and win. They are usually playing well leading up to the event with some prior success
@potatokmish Always tough betting while at the masters with no phones allowed in the gates. I like betting on a couple players round score that I know I’ll follow for the day. Or normally there are group matchups. Bet first round lead if there on Thursday, Outrights if there on Sunday.
@Top100Rick Awesome, but still crazy for viewers that when the final group was on in the meat of the front 9 we switched from golf channel to cbs which showed the end of a college basketball game that was already decided.
Missed an entire hole!
@SharpClarkeNFL I use bet t # for data and modeling. Biggest thng for me has bn figuring which tmnts rely more on course history and which ones to rely more on current form and sg data.
Golf betting pod and tour junkies I listen to for good pods but they aren’t super price sensitive in markets
@SharpClarkeNFL Fantastic question! I’d tend to think less ego, but depending on what market you’re betting into.
Pro of - ego is likely always questioning where to get better. Pro of + ego is no matter how good ur inevitably going to have bad stretches and if ur good u need to get through em
@practicalgolf Not about who has the most tools in their belt. More about who has the sharpest tool!!
99.9% of golfers don’t need to be able to hit all the shots, many could benefit by embracing the one they’re the best at!
@JeffreyBenson12 any insight as to the lack of a winning score market in golf across almost all books? (Including circa.) too variable to model? Too many factors that give player an edge? Not enough expected handle?
