A family dispute over an iPhone EMI payment ended in an unimaginable tragedy in Maharashtra.

18-year-old Kunal reportedly bought an iPhone on EMI but struggled to pay the instalments. After an argument with his parents over the payment, he went to the edge of Khavdya Hill in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and threatened to end his life.

For nearly three hours, police, locals and his parents tried to convince him to step back. But when his father moved closer to pull him away, both reportedly lost their balance and fell into the gorge. His mother, witnessing the fall, also died moments later.

Three lives lost in a tragedy that began with an argument over money.

What can families and communities do when a moment of anger turns into a crisis?
