Just some examples of stimming. Self-stimulatory behaviour gives autistic individuals control over sensory stimuli & a way to regulate their emotions. Unless it's dangerous to someone's health it shouldn't be discouraged as it's a vital method of self-regulation #AutismAcceptance

October Case Conference was about identifying strengths and challenges of being a LINK. We also did a team building activity focused on identifying ways we can communicate non-verbally. @BakerMiddle

LINKs had an absolute blast with @mrsstonge & @mrsoffman’s programs on a CBO to the @detroitzoo. Students practiced money management, conversations, time management/following a schedule, navigating crowds, waiting, &turn taking. Also @bakermiddle’s core values of A.OK. 🐒🦘🦁🦒🐧
