A submissive is not looking to be controlled because he is incapable. He is often more than capable. That is the point. He spends his life deciding, leading, carrying weight no one else sees. Submission becomes the one place he does not have to perform competence. He can soften. He can follow. He can rest his mind in someone else’s clarity.
And a domme is not powerful because she is loud or cruel. She is powerful because she is steady. Because she can hold that trust without abusing it. Because she understands that control is not about force. It is about presence. It is about being so grounded in yourself that someone else feels safe enough to let go.
That is why it works when it is real. Because beneath the roles, it is simply two people agreeing that one will guide and one will trust. And in that agreement, both of them feel more like themselves than they do anywhere else.
