I think they tried to learn too much into unique level design for each world and morph the plot around that gameplay.

Some examples noted from interviews were Elsa's hair and Remy's tail.

SE was also given movie assets to use which was noted difficult to adapt for video games

Pixar got original stories because they refused to allow Nomura to retell the movies
