@whatsundersteer So you’re telling me, that with a 20 minute practice Kyle Larson “developed” that car so much that Zilisch went on a tear the rest of the year?
@Michael95494331@DaOtherShip No one I know who is a fan, or works on these cars wants pack racing anywhere other than Daytona/Talladega. No one likes the racing at Atlanta.
@eric_shin_1 @DustyGabagool I know I walk into a building everyday that has a room full of guys doing what you just asked.
Also, is there any teams other than the ones I mentioned doing what you asked in cup? Maybe just Penske and RFK added to the ones I mentioned? Everyone else is just there!
@eric_shin_1 @DustyGabagool Do you honestly think that NOAPS cars from JGR, Hendrick, and RCR don’t have cup level engineering in them? Whether it’s past engineering from when cup used this car, or progressive from the time it was passed down to NOAPS? Get real.
@hillbillydilf@TNPiners@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX Yeah I guess it just depends on how much money you bring. Went around twice for Brandon Jones at JGR as well. But the money is too good to turn down.
@TNPiners@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX Maybe it’s because he’s been to every major team once already, and the ride doesn’t go around twice? Sam Hunt is the closest he can get to being back in JGR equipment without going back to JGR.
@slash_Kommando If Nitro would scale back a little, they’d be right back where they were when it was Venturini. Still doesn’t change the fact that they are the factory Toyota dev team… and finished 1-3 in the points this year!
@coolketchup38@slash_Kommando Exactly. A lot of people don’t realize or maybe want to admit that Nitro is the official TRD development pipeline, not JGR.
@LarryPatrifan@JeffMaconi@MambaSmith34 From everything I know, they are not…. There is no way the top late model teams are building $150k cars to only charge someone $25k a season to drive it.
@LarryPatrifan@JeffMaconi@MambaSmith34 I disagree. CARS Tour is a regional series, and you’re going to pay $20k-$25k a race for a competitive ride. I don’t know the numbers in SMART/tour mods, but I’m sure it’s similar to more. It’s way more expensive than you think these days.
@racingaddictpod Here’s the thing…. This is perfectly acceptable. Especially at a place like Bristol. If Carson had built up some equity by racing people well, Blaney wouldn’t have reacted that way. Both reactions can be acceptable at once.
@LarryPatrifan@JeffMaconi@MambaSmith34 Yeah I agree. But you were saying you can be competitive in a big series for $250k. I was just wondering what you think a big series is that you can be competitive for $250k?
@NYSSofficial@drivermallozz Dominic, you can’t rent a late model for a regular Saturday show at hickory for $5k. Guys are paying that much or more for a 600 micro at Millbridge
