This was the culmination of the Clinton administration's treacherous China policies. And let's be honest -- has ANY administration since pushed back meaningfully? Trump 2.0 came roaring in with tariffs, which I support, because continued demand will displace supply, sometimes even re-shoring it. But how is that working out?

Sorry, but this is very upside-down. "Basic forest management" is the liberal do-gooder interference in natural patterns of life and death. Forest fires are a fact of life older than humanity. Fire prevention and fire-fighting measures just make the inevitable blazes larger and worse.
A confounding factor here is that most of what we have for forests are logged-out or otherwise cleared new growth fulfilling our impoverished vision of what a forest is. A real forest has a healthy mix of "grandfather" trees and enormous old decomposing great-grandfather logs/fungal heaps, as well as a complete range of small and medium brush.
A forest fire seems like the wrong thing to hit Canada for with tariffs. Hit them over their Marxism and their immigration policies, not frikkin fires.

Fetterman is not worse than the average Democrat, and is in fact better. I have no duty to be fair or even-handed, and I favor treating those who are less bad markedly better than the mean.
Even if his vote never differs, his commentary certainly does, and he is one of the few democrats who might make other democrats actually think -- voters.
