Ballet de Cour

Notes from the Nosebleed Seats

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

Hmmm does this mean I'll need to fit in a couple extra #JeffreyCirio shows before he leaves or is he coming back to ABT? https://t.co/fUtN3WvM9k

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

@KarenatashaB That stuffed swan needs to go. Props to the Rothbarts for being able to keep a straight face as they pet it...

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

After Gillian Murphy, Devon Teuscher is ABT's… https://t.co/tSRSVXJCuU

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

Is this anyone else's favorite seat at the Koch Theater? #balletnook

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

Romeo & Juliet has wrapped at ABT. Mixed thoughts. Next week: Swan Lake https://t.co/wERykFbt7S

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

But really, how nice is it to have Luis Ribagorda back? #Abt

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

However, I've never seen the blasted 'Mandolin Dance' performed well at an ABT R&J. It's always out of sync (or maybe I'm just bad luck)

#StellaAbrera triumphed tonight. An uncommonly deep Met debut, as if the role had been hers for years. #americanballettheatre

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

This was the R&J I most wanted to see...such a great cast. Gutted that I couldn't fit it into my schedule. #AranBell #DevonTeuscher #ABT https://t.co/urcKLNVp4S

It's #AlvinAiley American Dance Theater week in NYC! I chose 'Ailey, Then & Now' but wish I could see them all. https://t.co/1Q633C741q

Binoculars are my new best friend #americanballettheatre #abt

Times are changing—so choreography is, too. https://t.co/60bQkRMYl0

Can't wait to see Stella Abrera (seen here as the highlight of ABT's Harlequinade) this Thursday as Juliet.

[CBC Arts @CBCArts]

Tradition meets technology in the @nationalballet's mesmerizing 'Frame by Frame.' Is this the future of ballet?: https://t.co/V6fRzzN02p

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

So sad to miss #FramebyFrame' by @nationalballet ... at least we can still watch 'Pas de deux' by Norman McLaren https://t.co/Sf1SgzGPP7

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

It took me a while to sort out my thoughts on ABT's #Harlequinade https://t.co/5sHfotTrRX

[Ballet de Cour @BalletdeCour]

Wow, Kourlas really let ABT's questionable casting practices off the hook here. Abrera could and should have danced Juliet years ago. https://t.co/mYfGOWlhxu

[New York Times Arts @nytimesarts]

The ballerina Stella Abrera never let herself dream of performing Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet." Now, she's making her New York debut in the role. https://t.co/Yp61ZtDp1t
