Litecoin is now walking the EXACT path Bitcoin and Ethereum took into mainstream portfolios.

Grayscale filed to turn its Litecoin Trust into a spot ETF on NYSE Arca, same LTCN ticker, same move they made with GBTC and ETHE, and Bloomberg's @EricBalchunas and @JSeyff have the odds near 100%.

The thing i found interesting is how loosely that trust has tracked the Litecoin inside it, anywhere from a 5,893% premium to a 67% discount since 2020, cuz there was never a way to create or redeem shares so the price just kind of drifted.

Every time an ETF like this gets closer somebody asks me why they'd own LITS instead, which is honestly a fair question.

But the way I see it the two are built for different jobs.

The ETF gives you clean spot exposure, which is exactly what a lot of allocators need, while we hold Litecoin and actually do things with it, buying back stock when it trades below the Litecoin behind it etc

More doors into Litecoin makes the whole market bigger, so the more of these the better, even if this one's still waiting on the SEC.

Flashback: Sept 22, 2017, @SatoshiLite and @JStefanop1 successfully made the first cross-chain atomic swap between Litecoin and Bitcoin.

Atomic swaps, also known as cross-chain atomic swaps, enable the peer-to-peer exchange of cryptocurrencies operating on different blockchains without a centralized intermediary. The term "atomic" comes from atomicity, a database principle ensuring that a transaction is indivisible. Atomic swaps are powered by Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLCs). An HTLC is a smart contract that requires both parties to meet specific cryptographic conditions within a set timeframe to execute a transaction. It has two key components: a hashlock and a timelock. A hashlock secures the deposited cryptocurrency until both parties provide cryptographic proof that they have fulfilled their side of the agreement. $LTC ⚡️
