Game over and unfortunately it wasn't to be our night. We lost by 1 point. A great game of football. Well done to our girls and to Gaelscoil Loch Garman
We had great fun in 1st Class today making butter in an old-fashioned way. We poured some cream into a jar and took turns shaking it as hard as we could. We tasted it on crackers afterwards and it was yummy!
A big thank you to Tony and Rosemary for teaching 3rd Class about what engineers do and giving them a chance to be engineers too! They really enjoyed it and had a great time building bridges and houses from marshmallows and toothpicks
1st Class constructed beautiful St. Patrick figures today in preparation for the celebrations this weekend. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir #StPatricksDay2018
As part of #EngineersWeek 1st Class had the opportunity to use little robots called Bee-bots today. We used the arrow keys to program the Bee-Bots to move and turn. Then we pressed GO and watched as they went on their way. We had so much fun!
Senior infants decided to plant some seeds that the #biggrow sent us! We have been taking care of them by watering them and making sure that they get plenty of sunlight. Look how much they have grown! We have spinach, peas & cress. We can’t wait to see how much they'll grow ☀
1st Class have green fingers this week! We sowed some spinach, cress and peas. We can't wait to watch them grow and have a taste in a few weeks! Thank you #innocent for supplying all the materials #biggrow
Congratulations to our new student council who will be working with Ms. Hayden on suggestions for the school. Some very impressive presentations and speeches delivered during the campaign!
Senior infants recently read the story Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. We learned about all the different fruits and animals in the story. So here is our visual art display showing a hand drawn picture of Handa with all of the fruit in her basket
1st Class did some scratch art last week. If you would like to try this at home - colour in a page with oil pastels or crayons, paint over with black paint and finally use a skewer or cocktail stick to scratch out a picture. It is so much fun!
