Some of our senior pupils might want to vote for the Blue Peter Book Awards...we read Onjali’s book earlier this year and loved it!

I literally, do not need anything else to happen in my life. Ever. Even by accident.(Like this clearly is!) #TheBoyAtTheBackOfTheClass is up for the 20th anniversary #bluepeterbookawards alongside a few authors you MAY have heard of(🤣). BEYOND belief. See

Robbie Burns celebrations 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

[Balnain Primary @BalnainPrimary]

The wee class recently celebrated the songs and poems of Robert Burns in great style. Dancing, singing, reciting and sharing oatcakes and model cottages with their families.

[Balnain Primary @BalnainPrimary]

Congratulations to our school shinty teams who played in the recent district tournaments. Both teams did so well and our P7 under team won! Thanks to our super coaches and supporters #teambalnain national finals here we come! 😁🏆

Our favourite Lego challenge...@newtonroom @SSASTEM We had to program the robots to travel down the road and stop as close to the Lego stuntwoman as possible. Very accurate measurements and programming required! Well done #teambalnain

[Balnain Primary @BalnainPrimary]

P6/7 has a fantastic day with Dawn at @newtonroom @SSASTEM. They used lots of mathematics to help program the Lego robots and complete challenges. Great teamwork too 👍🏻

Our read-in figures are in: 5288 kids across Scotland read simultaneously yesterday morning, and there may have been more who didn't let us know in time. At least 42 schools from the Borders to Sutherland and The Outer Hebrides. Previous record well and truly smashed! #NBFRecord

@NessBookFest1 We’re loving our class novel The Boy at the Back of the Class by @OnjaliRauf
