My practice serves as a bridge between the preservation of Culture and a critical investigation into the mechanics of power. I explore how systemic forces, specifically the history of South African Apartheid, reshape, dilute, and dismantle cultural identity.
I am driven by the question: What remains of โCultureโ when it is forcibly intercepted by power? My work examines the โconquerorโs logicโ, where greed and institutionalized selfishness donโt just spark war, but execute a slower, more insidious form of violence:
