Extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for older adults, young children, outdoor workers, and anyone with medical conditions. The Baltimore City Fire Department reminds residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day, and check on neighbors, family members, and pets.
Know the signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, heavy sweating, nausea, confusion, weakness, or fainting. Move to a cooler place, drink water, and call 911 immediately if symptoms become severe or if someone may be experiencing heat stroke.
Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe.
