Let me walk you through some facts about the hidden hanging village in Ghana 🇬🇭
— you need permission or police escort to visit the community, it’s not easy to go there
— some people have lived their whole lives in the mountains, over 60yrs they have never come down.
— most de@d bodies are bur!ed in their houses. they are very spiritual, they believe in reincarnation
— there’s no network. so you can’t make calls. no social media. electricity is a big challenge.
— they don’t whistle or shout. ITS FORBIDDEN. also and you don’t laugh when someone slips while climbing or descending
— because of where they are located, they see anyone that comes into the community and anyone that goes out. you can’t invade their space.
— there’s a CURFEW in the nearby town so people are not allowed to step out after 8pm.
— they are located deep between three mountains, very far and isolated from the main community.
— once again, they are very spiritual and also very welcoming and nice, but don’t play with them.
