As stated in the joint statement we released this morning, all of us share the same position. At this point, we are waiting for the series to air, hoping that proper on-screen credits will be provided to acknowledge Myanmar's cultural heritage.

From the beginning, our goal has been to seek a clear explanation from GMMTV regarding the use of Myanmar cultural elements and to request proper on-screen credits for our cultural heritage. Our position remains unchanged.

This is not the stance of TayTawan Myanmar alone, but a shared position agreed upon by the Myanmar fanbases of artists involved in the series, as well as fanbases of other artists. So, we would like to clarify that those leaving comments under GMMTV's posts or other artists' posts about matters unrelated to the series or insults do not belong to our fan communities.

They do not represent our Myanmar fan communities and are acting on their own behalf. We kindly ask everyone to keep this in mind should you come across such comments, as these actions are not associated with us.🙏

We respect creative freedom and cultural exchange, but these should never come at the expense of acknowledging the origins of the cultures being represented. Drawing inspiration from another culture is not the issue; failing to give that culture proper recognition and clear attribution is. Setting a story in a fictional city does not erase the real-world cultural origins of the costumes and artistic elements used in its production. We ask GMMTV to look beyond the fictional setting and address the legitimate concerns raised by Myanmar fans. Cultural appreciation requires more than a general acknowledgment,it requires transparency, accuracy, and meaningful credit to the culture that inspired the work. Our demand is not to restrict creativity, but to ensure that Myanmar’s cultural heritage is represented with the respect and recognition it deserves.
