There’s an episode of SpongeBob where he starts crying because he doesn’t want to be an adult anymore and just wants his grandma to make him cookies… that’s exactly how I feel right now.
I highly recommend NOT MAKING LIFE DECISIONS BASED ON YOUR BOYFRIEND OR GIRLFRIEND. Do not stay close to home for them, do not skip opportunities for them, do not pick a university that's close for them. They not the world! Grow yourself, expand your horizons PLEASE.
pregnancy is romanticised by society but actually it is a very traumatic physical experience. Some harsh realities include organs get displaced. As the uterus grows, it pushes the stomach, intestines, and lungs out of place, causing breathing problems, reflux, and constant bladder pressure. Extreme dilation during birth. During a period the cervix opens only under 1cm, but in labor it must dilate to about 10 cm (4 inches) for the baby to pass. Serious conditions can develop, including Preeclampsia (increased blood pressure) and Gestational Diabetes. Life-threatening complications happen, such as Postpartum Hemorrhage (most common cause of maternal death in which a woman doesn’t stop bleeding after giving birth) Ectopic Pregnancy, or rare cases like Amniotic Fluid Embolism. A condition that causes difficulty breathing, her heart and blood pressure crash, and she starts bleeding badly from everywhere. Recovery is long. While postpartum is often called 6–8 weeks, the body can take months or even over a year to fully recover. Woman should be allowed to simply avoid motherhood because being pregnant is uncomfortable and giving birth hurts!
College+ showed me a lot of mfkers weren’t parented or even raised. Just housed, fed, and tolerated until it was legal to unleash them on the rest of us
I genuinely believe after a certain age you need to have honest conversations with yourself like, I shouldn’t be drinking this much, I shouldn’t be wasting money like this, I shouldn’t be sleeping around like this, I shouldn’t be eating so unhealthy, I shouldn’t be badmouthing people like this, because you can get away with a lot of unhealthy habits while you are younger but everything eventually catches up with you and there’s always a price to pay, you end up paying for it for the rest of your remaining days on earth. it’s not worth it!
Even in friendships mind your business. If they don’t tell you, they probably don’t want you to know, or just not yet. You are not entitled to knowing what’s going on at every point in your friend’s life.
The real problem is, most of us were raised by parents who were just surviving so they taught us survival, not life. No one sat us down to explain how debt works, how to self soothe, how to say 'no' without guilt, or how to walk away from love that hurts. We weren't shown what emotional safety looks like, we were just told to keep the peace, suppress the feelings and work harder. Now we're adults paying bills on autopilot, spiraling in relationships, mistaking burnout for success and calling anxiety our personality. Lost, overwhelmed and wondering why we feel broken when in reality, we were just never taught the basics of being whole.
