The Iran war is creating a second security crisis around Saudi Arabia.

Hormuz is under pressure from Iran.

The Red Sea is under pressure from the Houthis.

And Saudi Arabia is now looking beyond Washington for additional regional support.

The conflict is spreading geographically, even while diplomacy is supposed to be happening.

Iran put a timetable on the table.

Washington rejected it.

That leaves both sides with the same problem: the military option is still active, but the diplomatic window is getting narrower.

At some point, someone has to decide whether leverage is more valuable than a way out.

This is no longer just about one strait.

The longer the Iran war continues, the more pressure spreads across the region's entire energy and shipping network.

Netanyahu used his UN address to defend Israel’s military campaigns in Iran and Gaza, while dozens of delegations walked out as he began speaking.

What Bane Observed?

You can talk about security, threats and self-defence all day.

But none of that erases the civilians killed, the destruction in Gaza, or the wider regional consequences of this war.

The walkouts were a political statement in themselves: many governments clearly did not accept Netanyahu’s version of events. Anyway who's going to believe a war criminal wanted by ICC.

A UN speech cannot rewrite what is happening on the ground.

This is more concrete than the earlier diplomatic signals.

Iran is putting a sequence on the table.

The question now is whether Washington sees it as an opening, or another attempt to negotiate from leverage.

🌎 2: Around 80 countries have demanded the immediate reopening of Hormuz, increasing international pressure on Tehran.

🇵🇰 3: Pakistan is continuing its diplomatic push, with PM Shehbaz Sharif meeting Iran’s President Pezeshkian and reaffirming Pakistan’s role in de-escalation efforts.

The pressure is building from both directions.

Iran is putting a clock on Washington. The international community is putting a clock on Iran.

And Pakistan is trying to keep a diplomatic door open before someone decides to close it permanently.

2: US-Iran talks have resumed, but both sides remain far apart and neither has publicly offered major concessions.

3: Pakistan is also staying directly involved, with Ishaq Dar meeting Iran's Araghchi in New York and both sides agreeing to remain in close contact.

The interesting part is that diplomacy is no longer just about Washington and Tehran.

Qatar, Egypt and Pakistan are all becoming channels around the same table.

The war is still active, but the diplomatic map is getting wider.
