The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) warns the public against scams involving individuals who falsely claim to be BSP officials or employees.

The BSP emphasizes that its officials and employees do not solicit funds or payments from the public for charitable purposes or the release, recovery, or restoration of funds. Likewise, legitimate financial institutions, including their officers and personnel, do not send unsolicited text messages or e-mails, or make unsolicited calls, asking the public to deposit or transfer funds to personal financial accounts.

The public can independently verify the authenticity of any message, call, document, identification card, or other communication claiming to originate from the BSP or any of its officials and employees through the following channels:
