A passenger became alarmed as a tornado was approaching. It was pointed out that this was Kilroot Power Station. All settled back to fishing. π
4 blasts every 30 seconds.
When chatting to the keepers, the conversation stopped- -the chat started again during the 20sec. break.
In 1983 the fog hovered for weeks. The horn was turned off in 1991. Before GPS the crew aboard the BangorBoat NEEDED the tone of the horn.
