@broodingYAhero I think what this post is driving at is the disconnect between author and audience. It’s great for authors to write from experience but it would also be wonderful to see more engagement with interests and issues that are currently relevant to teens. We have some but more is good!

It's a fact that Authors would rather write based on the fuzzy memories they have of their own teen years than actually talk to modern teens to write a novel that would be appealing to their so-call target audience.
