What is Carney getting Canada into, or more bluntly, what has already been set in motion? Unfortunately none of this is new. These financial structures have been built over years, actually, decades, and Carney has been smack dab in the middle of it all, fully aware of how the system operates and what it relies upon.

As one critic put it: “The very existence of the global financia. bubble... is based on precisely this opportunity for banks to attract liquid narco-money. In fact, this garbage fertilizes the present economic system.”

If that critique is even partly accurate, it will be Canadians who bear the consequences when the narrative sustaining these systems collapses.

This is quite literally the opposite of what Canadians should expect from the Prime Minister of their country. None of his entry into public office made sense to me at the time. Now it does.

There is a truth about the last election that far too many Canadians have either forgotten or never heard at all. And it matters because it reveals the real state of this country.

Under Pierre Poilievre the Conservative Party earned more votes than any Conservative movement in our entire history. On April 28 the party received 8,099,549 ballots. That is 41.27 percent of the electorate. It set a record for the modern party and it surpassed every total ever reached by the old Progressive Conservatives. Pierre earned the mandate. Fear blocked the result.

The only reason he is not Prime Minister today is because Jagmeet Singh chose to hold Trudeau’s corrupt and ineffective government in place. That is the political reality.

Then many Canadians allowed themselves to believe that Donald Trump somehow posed a threat to Canada, and Carney leaned hard into that fear. This is the Liberal method. They stir anxiety, appeal to the most fragile impulses, and use fear as a tool to shape public opinion. It works only when people abandon critical thought and let panic guide their choice.

January will be a defining moment for the future of this country. And yes, the Liberal trolls are already in motion. Carney’s supporters are working to undermine Pierre Poilievre before the leadership review. If you see that behavior here, report it. Do not allow them to drag the conversation into chaos.

Carney fears Pierre. He has every reason to fear him.

@kim_gaetz Senators are appointed. Therefore if they choose to switch sides they can. MPs are elected by us the citizens. We give them our vote as they are the party representative that we want to speak on our behalf. If we wanted a liberal to represent us we would've voted for the liberal.
