Iso day 5. Ordered a coffee and caramel slice from Ubereats. There’s a hair baked into the caramel slice. Ate it anyway. #iso #author #writingcommmunity #yolo #hair #ew

I think I’m annoying my family by proclaiming that every scenic spot we go to on our holiday down south is “the perfect murder site” for my next novel…

Do any other writers keep a separate document of “cut outs” from your manuscript because you can’t bring yourself to delete them completely? Sort of like collecting baby-teeth…

Last night I was lucky enough to swallow an antidote to imposter syndrome for a few hours listening to some incredible speakers at @FreoArtsCentre for the @FremantlePress event The Business of Being a Writer

Back to work tomorrow where I have to constantly remind myself it’s not appropriate to have conversations with characters out loud anymore 😒 #WritingCommunity #amwriting #amediting #novel #amwritingfiction

Wrote “The End” on my 4th manuscript. Spelt “The” wrong. I think that sums up the entirety of what writing this draft has been like 😂 Now to wait. Then tear it apart in edits. #firstdraft #done #WritingCommunity #writer #author #novel #editing

As predicted I didn’t quite make the 50 000 for nano this year BUT it’s 32 600 I didn’t have at the start of the month (the other 17 400 went to high school report comments 😒) #NaNoWriMo #writer #WritingCommunity #author #writerslife #amwritingfiction

Hasn’t woken up before 6 all week but obviously the day I decide to write BEFORE work is the day….

It is a law that you only think of incredibly important points for your novel when you are driving or jogging with no way of writing them down. #amwriting #amwritingfiction #NaNoWriMo #WritingCommunity #writerslife #writerslife #book #novel

Trying to finish the first draft (see also: planking over a bed of nails) with #NaNoWriMo. Don’t necessarily want to get 50k - if anything I’m aiming to underwrite this novel. Reader, she was lying, she has never underwritten anything before in her life.

Writing is the bad boy who you know it won’t last with but the high sustains your brief, passionate affair. Editing is the guy your mum wants you to date who you know you’ll have to end up with eventually. #amediting #amwriting #WritingCommunity
