I find there has been a change slowly overtime with Disney movies as different orientations, ethnicity, race etc are being portrayed more in the recent films released but correctly this time. There is less stereotypes, prejudices etc.

The value with feminist activism is that it encourages and empowers more women to stand up for their rights and equality. It has had an effect as more women are speaking up and fighting for what is right and what should be spoken about #Lesson10

If using technology for school related purposes in the classroom or through a classroom "app" it is not necessarily a violation as it is supposed to be used for school related purposes only. It also varies with age groups as well. #lesson9

What is beneficial with using technology/social media in the classroom is that, it allows more students to connect outside class. By sharing information, notes, etc. It allows for a new look on participation and can be a helpful tool #lesson7

I believe technology can give you both the freedom and the illusion of freedom. For some it allows them to escape reality and be in their own world giving them both the freedom they seek, but the illusion of it being real #lesson5

Like in the lecture, teaching comes from a good teacher and technology and social media can further solidify ones learning. It is a good basis to have someone else teaching it to you until you understand, as for technology solely delivers the info to you.

Keeping students in the loop and updated is a great way to use social media like facebook or twitter. Many students have access to either and if they have questions, need to be updated, it would be a good place to check. That would be how I use it.

I think teachers should consider wether or not the social media they are incorporating will add to the class, and not be something else the students will need to fiddle with. Consider easier information access, communication access etc.
