of all the pernicious things that have happened over the past few years I think the effective rebranding of January 6 into an event in which the rioters were the ones who were wronged may best symbolize how bad our politics have become.
Trump, Rubio, and Musk killed many thousands of the poorest and most vulnerable people around the world by cutting off aid for food and medical supplies, which earned us influence and goodwill while saving lives.
But they're spending millions to put gold leaf on bronze horses.
Today…
Judge orders Trump’s name OFF Kennedy Center.
Iran “deal” blasted as defeat.
Musicians bail on his concert on the National Mall.
DHS agent arrested for MN shooting in Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Approval rating hits low 30%.
Have a great weekend, DJT.
Donald Trump is defacing government property with his name — buildings, bills, coins, monuments, ballrooms, park passes, airports, passports, concert halls, citizenship programs, savings accounts, websites, ships, train stations, & more.
There’s a word for it.
Corruption.
wear the trench coat over a suit but stand far away from the wedding, ideally under a tree while smoking a cigarette. when people spot you, turn away and get into a black car and then drive away
Pattern Recognition is also the form of intelligence that causes the most stress.
You will see things that others do not.
You'll feel crazy.
Things will be *so obvious* to you, and others will just deny it.
A reminder that Russia is waging a terrorist war on Ukraine, and a reminder that standing by and watching are the richest nations on Earth, controlling the most powerful military alliance in history, an alliance created specifically to stop Russia in Europe. Sickening.
As I’ve said since that first Trump term, we may never know why Trump is so loyal to Putin. Bribery? Blackmail? Affinity for dictators & oligarchs? KGB asset? All of the above? More important is stopping him, because if he were a Russian agent, what would he do differently?
Not so long ago, Donald Trump posted a picture of a bound & gagged President Biden in the back of a truck. Trump didn’t apologize & he didn’t take it down. I wrote about it here; the analysis stands up in light of the indictment of Jim Comey today. https://t.co/E9SuSH6haj
This week, the Trump administration:
…prosecuted people for daring to infiltrate & expose the KKK.
…promoted a Pentagon official who discussed wearing a KKK hood.
…and dropped charges against white supremacists who attacked the Capitol.
Interesting pattern.
The FBI guy is on a paranoid bender and won’t leave his room.
The War guy quotes bible passages from Pulp Fiction.
The Health guy collects raccoon dicks.
It’s an Idiocracy on steroids.
I’ve spent my entire career in national security.
Something extremely serious is happening.
The White House and Congress need to put politics aside — and investigate these deaths & disappearances aggressively.
Swalwell has announced his resignation from Congress. It’s impossible not to ask why Texas Republican Tony Gonzales hasn’t done the same. And why the GOP doesn’t insist the Epstein files, which repeatedly mention the head of their party, be fully released.
