For years, my sisters @izthetruth, @gagcityresident, and I have quietly looked out for Barbz in our community using our own money. Whether someone needed food, temporary shelter, transportation, or help getting through an unexpected situation, we’ve always tried to be there especially for Barbz who are active in this community and consistently show up and support @NICKIMINAJ

Now, we want to take what we’ve already been doing and turn it into something bigger and more organized

💕 WELCOME TO THE BARB FUND

The Barb Fund will operate separately from the Barb Bank and will focus specifically on providing assistance and connecting Barbz experiencing genuine hardship with resources

One of the biggest things we’ve noticed is that when assistance is available, it can sometimes end up going to the same people repeatedly. Meanwhile, we see Barbz across the timeline dealing with job loss, housing issues, food insecurity, transportation problems, emergencies, and other situations who may never ask publicly for help. We want to change that

Our goal is to create something sustainable that allows us to reach as many Barbz as possible, while still having guidelines and accountability so the community’s resources are distributed fairly

This is bigger than simply giving someone money. We want to build a network of Barbz helping Barbz. If somebody needs assistance, we want to help. If we can connect them with an existing resource instead of using Fund money, we want volunteers who can help find that resource. And if businesses, organizations, or members of the community want to contribute, we want to give them a structured way to do that

We’ve been doing this out of our own pockets for years. The Barb Fund is our opportunity to bring the entire community together and make sure more Barbz have somewhere to turn when life happens

I was debating with someone this morning about Nicki Minaj’s subscriptions on X. I want you guys to know that not having a subscription doesn’t make you any less of a Barb. This is for the Barbz on the front lines who actually care about Nicki’s thoughts, want to be part of the conversation, and are out here doing the work. Not everyone is streaming every day and pushing her the way we are, there are casual fans too, and this might not be for them. Plenty of Barbz don’t even have X

But this is needed. It gives her some security and keeps the haters and blogs from having access to her. I’m glad to see the ones who respect and understand what Nicki is doing, especially those who can’t afford it right now. Even if you can’t afford it, you can’t be selfish and expect Nicki to put her security and safeguards aside just for you. Everyone should already be saving money anyway, just in case she ever surprise drops music, y’all always begging for music but don’t have any money saved…
