A scientific study by TERI confirms that the cantonment’s green cover absorbs over 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ every year - more than the total carbon it emits.

🚨 Bareilly Airport set for a major upgrade! ✈️

🔹 Direct flights to Noida (from 1 July) and Delhi (from 2 July) are set to begin.
🔹 Airport expansion plans are underway, with land acquisition nearing completion.
🔹 An AAI survey team is expected to visit within the next two months to review the proposed expansion.
🔹 Aircraft parking capacity is planned to increase from 3 to 10 bays for 232 seater aircraft
🔹 Terminal area is proposed to expand in phases, from the current facility to 15,000 sq. m. in Phase 1 and 30,000 sq. m. in Phase 2.
🔹 New routes to cities such as Goa, Surat, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kushinagar are also being planned.

Most Indian vehicles were never designed for E20, yet Modi ji's govt & Gadkari ji keep pushing towards E30 and even E100.

As an Indian, I pay full price for my car + taxes on it, pay road tax, pay tolls, pay Centre + state tax on every litre of fuel, pay parking charges… and in return I get $h¡tty infrastructure and now even $h¡ttier forced ethanol-blended fuel that was never meant for most cars on the road.

If I want pure petrol, I should be allowed to buy it. Period.

This ethanol experiment on the common man & their vehicles has made us lab rats.

Bareilly’s Smart City model is turning into a case study of poor urban planning.

Nearly 2 years after completion, projects like the Skywalk, Commercial Complex and Sanjay Community Hall waterbody are still lying unused because no operational agencies were finalized.

This raises a fundamental question:

Were crores spent on projects without even assessing who would run them, how they would function, or whether they were practically viable in the first place?

Infrastructure built only for inauguration photos and “Smart City” branding is not development - it is a waste of public money.

This comes after the launch of Mumbai and Bengaluru routes, while Jaipur and Lucknow are also being planned next.

The steadily increasing number of flights clearly shows rising passenger demand and the growing strategic importance of Bareilly Airport in Rohilkhand, West UP, Kumaon region.

This is also a strong indicator of why the ongoing Bareilly airport expansion and infrastructure development will become increasingly important in the coming years for business, tourism and regional growth.

For the third consecutive year, Bareilly Junction has recorded higher passenger revenue than Moradabad Junction. 🚉

FY 2025-26 Passenger Revenue:
📍 Bareilly Junction - Rs. 158.49 Cr
📍 Moradabad Junction - Rs. 122.18 Cr

But the bigger story is growth.

Bareilly’s passenger revenue growth stands at 28.58% - almost DOUBLE of Moradabad’s 16.36%.

200+ trains daily, massive passenger movement, growing commercial importance, and still Bareilly Junction continues to wait for the level of infrastructure, redevelopment and passenger facilities it genuinely deserves.

Bareilly is no longer just another station on the map. It has become one of the biggest railway centres of West UP. The numbers are now speaking for themselves.

Time for Indian Railways to start treating Bareilly like the major rail hub it already is.
