@FaithJasper4@KIN110UofR Personally I have had this happen to me as well and I believe that almost everyone has had an experience like this at least once when being a "rookie" and it has simply just become a tradition so in my opinion I think this mild harmless hazing is "okay".
@evan_goodfellow@KIN110UofR As a female hockey player myself, it is really sad to see this happen. Many female hockey players look forward to potentially playing in this league and some may use it as a motivation to become better players but unfortunately that will no longer be the case. Very unfortunate.
@Cowboy096 If players are using for medical reasons, that is something that should be indicated from the start and should be looked over by the council to see if the player is eligible to continue to play while using, in the sense of "medical reasons"
I feel as though the policing of performing enhancing drugs in sport is not a lost cause because if it was, then everyone would be doping up for sports but because players are aware of drug tests and the rules of the game, they refrain from breaking the rules #Lab8KIN11019
@salleh_aniza Definitely depends on the players morals. People are entitled to the choice of whether they want to obey the rules or break the rules and there will always be that chance of getting caught and I believe players who have good morals would not chance their career.
@GeradtsGrace@FaithJasper4 See I don’t really agree with that since I’m sure that athletes are aware if they break the rules then perhaps their careers will be ruined and if they are smart enough than they will refrain from “getting even” with the cheating competitor for their own good
@OlijnykTherese @KIN110UofR I’m sure this is seen in lots more sports as well. Very disappointing but hopefully due to the recognition of this problem, the problem will start to diminish and become more equal.
@FaithJasper4@StephenCurry30 This is something that could have easily been shrugged off but it wasn’t. Personally I think he really went above and beyond and it shows greatly! I hope this is something that influences other athletes as well #Lab5KIN11019
@kaleigh16848370 I wonder why she chose to help this specific social issue? Makes me wonder if maybe someone in her family or someone close to her was a veteran #Lab5KIN11019
Shawn Green is a baseball player in the MLB who advocates that religion is more important to him than baseball by refusing to play on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. Green is supported and praised by his teammates and the public #Lab5KIN11019
@OlijnykTherese I completely agree with this! Sometimes when parents are watching this children, it puts pressure on them but when playing away from parents, children are able to be more open and expressive.
@SavageJayd Unfortunately i did not have a screen time limit growing up but as i was getting older, my mom would set rules for what times i could have screen time and when i had to be off it for the night. In the future when i have kids, I will definitely be limiting screen time
Informal sport and physical activity is very important for children because it teaches children to be independent while being active. An example of this would be playing on the playground at the park. #Lab2KIN11019
@KIN110UofR A main reason why I think people leave sports, is the coaching. Coaching has a huge impact on sport and if you are unhappy with your coach and receiving negative feedback then it is going to affect you in a negative way.
@KIN110UofR In England, a popular sport is cheese rolling. It is held near Gloucester on Copper Hill. Participants roll a 7-9 pound round cheese down a hill and chase after it, the first person to the bottom with their cheese wins.
@KIN110UofR Everyone has grown up in different environments causing people to have different views and opinions on specific sports. Some people have certain negative opinions on specific sports due to the lack of understanding and knowledge.
