LET’S STOP REWRITING HISTORY JUST BECAUSE OF FANBASE WARS. 🇬🇭🔥
To the people desperately trying to discredit Stonebwoy’s OVO Arena Wembley achievement because Young Jonn also headlined the same venue: what exactly are you trying to prove?
Look at the plaques. They are literally recognizing the same milestone:
“Presented to [artist] to celebrate your first headline show at the OVO Arena Wembley.”
Stonebwoy received his plaque for his 15 August 2026 headline show. Young Jonn received his for his 25 September 2026 headline show.
Two different artists. Two different dates. Same historic category of achievement.
And there is one fact nobody can fan-war away: Stonebwoy’s show was the first time a Ghanaian artist headlined OVO Arena Wembley. That isn’t a fanbase slogan. The venue itself described his August 15 show as the first time a Ghanaian artiste had headlined the arena.
So when you celebrate Young Jonn’s achievement, celebrate it. He deserves his flowers. 🇳🇬👏🏾@YoungJonn
But don’t celebrate him by trying to erase Stonebwoy.
Young Jonn’s Wembley achievement does not cancel Stonebwoy’s Wembley achievement.
Young Jonn being Nigerian doesn’t make Stonebwoy’s Ghanaian achievement smaller.
And Stonebwoy being Ghanaian doesn’t require anybody to disrespect Young Jonn either.
What some of you are doing is not “defending your favourite artist.” You’re deliberately trying to rewrite the timeline, minimize a Ghanaian artist’s milestone and create a competition that the plaques themselves don’t even create.
The plaque doesn’t say “second best.”
The plaque doesn’t say “less important.”
The plaque doesn’t say “just performed at Wembley.”
It says FIRST HEADLINE SHOW AT OVO ARENA WEMBLEY.
And Stonebwoy’s came on August 15, 2026. Young Jonn’s came on September 25, 2026.
You can support Sarkodie.
You can support Shatta Wale.
You can support Young Jonn.
You can support whoever you want.
But supporting your favourite artist should not require you to hate another Ghanaian artist or pretend his documented achievements never happened.
Stonebwoy made history for Ghana at that venue. Let the man have his flowers. 🌍🇬🇭 @stonebwoy 🐐🐐🐐
Argue about music. Argue about performances. Argue about your personal preferences. But don’t manufacture a rivalry and then use it to erase documented history.
FACTS DON’T NEED FANBASE PERMISSION.
HISTORY DOESN’T CHANGE BECAUSE YOU DON’T LIKE THE ARTIST.
AND STONEBWOY’S WEMBLEY MILESTONE IS HIS NOBODY CAN TAKE IT FROM HIM. 🇬🇭🔥🐐
