In less than a minute Sir David Attenborough inspires and challenges us to share the planet and do all we can to allow the wondrous diversity of our world to flourish.
On certain days throughout the year, I record all the plants flowering in our habitat - a hectare, restored to nature. Mindfully, I gather a single flower from every plant that can spare a bloom. Today I counted 44 species, most of which are represented here. With thanks to @wildflower_hour for encouraging me back out to play! #WildflowerHour #StillFlowering #NatureHeals #VitaminN
Probably one of the hardest hitting resignation letters ever sent to a sitting Prime Minister. But Rosie Duffield speaks for millions of voters at this time & Keir Stamer best take note @RosieDuffield1@Keir_Starmer@MuratPompidu
We just invaded the Houses of Parliament, singing loud and clear: #StopRosebank! No new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea! The Rosebank oil and gas licenses will cause an extra 200m tons of CO2 emissions, while doing nothing to lower our energy bills #GreenEnergyisCheapEnergy
So @wwf_uk shelved a report exposing the extent of River Wye pollution just ‘to keep Tesco happy’.
Too, too many eNOGs are comprised like this, seduced by the perfume of funding, happy and prepared to comprise everything just to meet payroll. Frauds. 🤬

Still can't quite believe Cutting the Crap has been selected among just 12 shorts at @londonmountain1 & will be screened next weekend alongside fantastic films such as Puffling, Light Beams for Helena and FREYA. https://t.co/Gv2mepA2jo
Just a few seats left!
In July, decisions were made by @NENorthWest which has resulted in an unprecedented outcome in modern times.
0.5ha of the Dee Estuary SAC is now set to be destroyed on Wirral. @WildJustice_org have been helping to reverse this nationally significant precedent.

John Rutter did a beautiful choir arrangement of this, grew up singing it and I’ve always loved it.
Sam’s art has added another layer to these beautiful words. Just lovely.

And follow @SamCannonArt if you don’t already!
For anyone looking to make their #gardens more attractive to night flying #moths
Nicotiana langsdorffs proved more popular in our garden than other nicotianas. Smaller blooms than other varieties, and flowers for months. Great for long-tongued bees, too!

Listen to @Thewildflowerhr talking to Brigit (author of Dancing with Bees) on a sunny spring morning as they stroll chatting about bees, birdsong, conservation, childhood memories and the benefits of being outside in this magical podcast.

This is INFURIATING! 😡 Probably the worst example of fear mongering I’ve seen this year!! Lovely people of Twitter, please enlighten @TheParksTrust as to the benefits of #Ragwort.
FYI @TheParksTrust, horses won’t eat it if left in their field. How do you think the Konik ponies have survived for millennia? Could it be that they have evolved to NOT EAT Ragwort?
Also, have you forgotten your own description of this place…? A “Nature Reserve.” Is #Ragwort not part of this landscape and therefore providing a vital source of pollen, nectar and acting as a larval food-plant for many insects?
Perhaps you should consider abandoning your event on the 29th “…to remove as many of these poisonous plants…” so as to let the native flora and fauna thrive??
This kind of scare mongering around one of the UK’s most valuable native wildflowers needs to stop…
From 11am today, BBC journalists, members of @NUJofficial, will begin a 24 hour strike to defend local radio.
The walkouts will affect the coverage of three by-elections.
My write-up.

The section in Falmouth is the only part of the 630-mile-long South West Coastal Path that meets all the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
Thanks to Kevin Thomas from @FalmouthNature for sharing this great story with us.

The main story on @BBCNews is fossil fuel propaganda.
@BBCBusiness take a long hard look at yourselves.
World's need for fossil fuels is only 'desperate' if you desperately want your children to live in hell.
How do they sleep at night as the world burns in front of their eyes? We have the power to steer the trajectory, to come together and be the change the planet needs. The fight for good over evil is ON. What side of history do you choose to be on? (petition at end of🧵)
