After far right forces brought thousands onto the street at the end of April, Barney Doherty responds to the confusion on the left, arguing for a return to basic anti-racist, internationalist principles.

Thanks to all who gathered at Casement last night in a show of solidarity & support for myself & other antiracist campaigners. Belfast stands strongly against racist and fascist forces in our city & always will.
All out for the next @UnitedARacism rally Sunday at City Hall, 1pm

We have been out leafletting, had community rallies, and plenty of posts up.
It's not one or the other, people are capable of organising on more than one thing at a time.
Look at the housing bill, and all the meetings held
@Skin4231 @HughDeeny77@GerryCarrollPBP There've been local housing rallies, you should join them. Gerry hosted a meeting on housing crisis last night with families facing eviction. He has a bill coming through Stormont targeting landlords and high rents.
We fight for the whole working class, feel free to get involved.
Great and important turnout tonight at the United Against Racism rally at Casement in West Belfast.
Thank you to the residents, the community activists, the unions, the political parties, and everyone who came out.
Thanks to everyone who came tonight, especially those facing eviction who shared their stories.
We'll be fighting against this in the coming weeks and demanding Stormont and the Housing Executive build social housing to address the growing housing crisis.
Great meeting tonight about resisting evictions in West Belfast.
Powerful testimonies from families, and a determined resolve to escalate the campaign against the Housing Executive's cruel succession policy.
Please Share Widely: Gerry Carroll Responds to Fascist Death Threats
Death threats against West Belfast MLA Gerry Carroll have been condemned this morning.
Graffiti scrawled on a wall in Andersonstown includes a target symbol and the initials of a fringe fascist group.
It was a pleasure to host carers and people from carer's advocacy groups in Stormont today ahead of my motion this evening.
Carers are ignored, overlooked, underpaid, and exploited by the government.
I hope we can begin to turn the tide with today's motion.
❗️🗣'Unpaid carers need more than a clap and a thank you.'
📝@pb4p MLA @GerryCarrollPBP brings forward a Motion calling on greater support for unpaid carers and to introduce a carer’s allowance supplement scheme.
📻He tells Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 that carers feel "left behind."
A Carer's Allowance Supplement, similar to the Scheme that already exists in Scotland, would provide a small amount of financial support for unpaid carers. I'm glad my motion passed at Stormont today, reciving cross-party support.

According to official figures, there are over 22,500 empty homes across the North. The Communities Minister himself said this might only scratch the surface.
Every empty house is a home denied to someone who needs it. We must use existing housing stock to tackle homelessness.
The ceasefire announcement has been greeted with relief among Palestinians and in the wider global solidarity movement. Brian Kelly asks whether the US-brokered plan offers hope for permanent peace, or a viable pathway to Palestinian liberation?

Where is Dr Hussam Abu Saifya? That was Belfast's message to Israel and its backers in Britain and the United States yesterday.
End the Genocide. Israel must be sanctioned - Now!
On Thursday evening we had another local consultation meeting on the housing crisis at Forthspring Community Centre at the Lanark Way.
Great to see local groups attend and hear the struggles that they have been facing and how we can strive for better.
Come along to our next public consultation meeting on the People's Housing Bill!
