Absolutely. Protest based on legitimate concerns is not the racist assault, abuse and terrorising of people. Journalists who pretend that it is are complicit in creating an environment where this is viewed as permissible behaviour.
Dear media, here’s scientists being arrested for protesting the biggest funders of fossil fuels. You won’t cover it which is why groups like Just Stop Oil are driven to more extreme publicity stunts. You are the problem.
Private health companies have no meaningful capacity to bring down NHS waiting lists. They are already poaching NHS staff & the public are worried!⬇️🚨
To bring down NHS waiting lists, Starmer should focus on recruiting NHS staff+supporting current staff too!
RT if you agree!💙
The NHS needs proper investment and reform. Further privatisation is not the answer and will create a 2-tier health service which you say you don’t want @wesstreeting#NoNHSprivatisation#WesChangeYourPlans

We are so pleased the Tories are gone, but what we've heard from Wes Streeting so far is not what we want!
👉No NHS privatisation
👉Proper pay for NHS staff

In the wake of 4 more lives being taken by our borders we’ll hear ‘Smash The Gangs’ instead of ‘Stop The Boats’. But we’ll not hear ‘Open Safe Routes’ & that’s the only thing that will stop more lives being lost.
Someone who likes Tony Blair called me a ‘child’ yesterday, in a bid to discredit what I was saying.
I am almost 40, a mother, worked as a doctor for a decade, published a book, and have built a non-profit from scratch.
What does it take for a woman to be taken seriously?
When you KNOW people in small boats are overwhelmingly refugees, and the refugee convention protects their right to travel irregularly to seek asylum, and yet continue using ‘illegal’ you are part of the anti migrant rhetoric.
No human is illegal.
I think Starmer+Streeting are about to start telling us that the private sector can save the NHS by bringing down NHS waiting lists.
Please remember that private healthcare boss Justin Ash recently told The Times that this plan won’t work. There isn’t meaningful spare capacity🚨
@LouCalvey It’s a great start. Thanks @LouCalvey & all individuals & organisations who advocate for the people affected. Your expert guidance & support for all of us who want to be allies to those targeted by hostile environment is so appreciated. Delighted this threat has been lifted. 🧡
Whatever party you support, the biggest story of the night must be that the far-right will now sit in Westminster. It will receive taxpayer money, get airtime
1 in 6 voters support a party whose representatives think Hitler was "brilliant" and call black people 'jungle bunnies'
Can we all make sure the fact that the Greens did EXACTLY as well as Reform with a *fraction* of Reform’s money and airtime does not go unnoticed, even if the news media furiously ignores it?
All the odds were stacked against Jeremy Corbyn.
He’s one of the only independents to win a competitive election in a general election since World War II.
He started his campaign late because of loyalty to his old party.
His constituency has a huge turnover.
Labour threw everything at this seat.
He suffered a relentless smear campaign.
He won against huge odds, and his team should be unbelievably proud of what they achieved.
As always, the media are clustering around #VichyNige like flies on sh1t. But the Green result is far more remarkable, as it happened without the massive publicity Reform was given.
What would good, from an asylum perspective, look like from Labour;
1. Scrap Rwanda, which they’ve pledged to do. Take all offshore processing & ‘third safe country’ processing off the table.
I hate the fact that I have to produce id to vote. Between 2019 and 2013 there were just 11 convictions and 4 cautions for voter fraud. It's not a problem. Yet here we are - demanding proof the young and poor are less likely to have. It's Windrush at the polls.
