I am led to believe that Gary Lineker was paid in excess of ยฃ1.2 million last year by the BBC, ostensibly for presenting football matches. I am not a fan of TV football punditry, so I wonder if this is a good investment of taxpayers' money.
I don't wish to appear gratuitously critical of Rishi Sunak's dress sense, but ever since I pulled on my first pair of long trousers, I was taught that they should break over the shoes. Too long or too short could brand the wearer as an object of fun.
Good news for the Tory Party - just when you thought it couldn't get much worse, how about promoting retired Vicar John Jeffs who was caught in his church stark bollocks naked save for a pair of stockings whilst performing an unnatural act with a Henry Hoover. Praise the Lord!
As a member of the Conservative Party, and eligible to vote for the next leader, I am appalled at the Fred Carno circus unfolding before me. It goes to show how foolish the powers that be have been in ousting Boris and replacing him with second rate 'also rans'.
As predicted, the Wimbledon men's tennis final was contested by a Serbian who still refuses to be vaccinated, and a foul mouthed Australian with a serious medical condition affecting the whole of his arm. Not a pretty sight! I found something else to watch. By the by, who won?
Beware what you ask for....I am old enough to remember the demise of the blessed St. Margaret of Finchley, laid low by a bunch of nobodys. And what did we get as her replacement? John Serjeant Major, promoted well beyond his intelligence, wisdom teeth and all.
A word to the Tory MP dimwits who are seeking to unseat BJ. Remember November 1990 when another bunch of Tory dimwits unseated Margaret Thatcher and in return, we got John Major, he of the painful wisdom teeth. We were lumbered with one of the worst PMs in living memory.
I have no strong feelings about the Monarchy, but in this day and age I expect at least a nod towards moral probity which is sadly lacking from Charles and Randy. I am therefore surprised that HM has given her blessing to Camilla who on any view is damaged goods.
