Why roll the dice?
The problem with many employee "well-being" or "wellness" initiatives is that they focus on developing the individual to cope with the environment without developing the environment to enable well-being for the individual.
True well-being must be a system property.
An underrated challenge of self-directed work is knowing what to measure. How do you know you’re making progress? What do you choose to work on next? etc.
This is something a lot more people need to research and report on.
@drmwarner Dying alone is profoundly distressing. Excluding family is unthinkable. The impact on family members' future mental health may be worse than any viral risk. Risk must include an assessment of future mental well-being.
