EVs are “likely crucial” for tackling transport CO2, says the IPCC – and sales are rocketing

@LozzaFox The discourse has become political. You’re left-wing and climate change is conclusive proof that the evils of capitalism & greed will destroy our planet. You’re a right-wing freedom loving libertarian and climate is a tool for an over-bearing state stopping us doing stuff.
@LozzaFox ‘It’s good to be skeptical’ but ‘when journalists treat scientists as authorities of truth, trusting or distrusting scientists is becoming a matter of political identity’ brilliant piece by Neil Halloran https://t.co/ROD4Tw2rt0
@JustStop_Oil How utterly selfish. Don’t these people realise that not everybody cares that climate change could bring about the breakdown of life supporting systems and societal collapse in our children’s life times. We just want to watch snooker.
@ZLabe@NSIDC 🤦Not sure it will stop the stupids, but here goes. Yes it’s summer down there. Ice always melts in summer and grows in winter. What has been observed is that it’s melting more in summer and growing less in winter. Melting sea ice doesn’t raise sea level. Land ice melting does.

@ExtinctionR It fosters a class war, alienates those that need to be engaged with and further encourages accepting scientific fact or not as being a left or right thing, which will lead to us losing everything. (2/2)
@ExtinctionR Yes, EVs are expensive. Though if you can afford to swap your fossil fuel driven vehicle for an EV you should. Unsubstantiated statements demonising those that do does not help us in the war on climate. (1/2)
