The SC/ST Atrocities Act, by its very design, encourages misuse rather than genuine grievance redressal.
1. In a country where people kill each other over few hundred rupees, offering 1,00,000 rupees simply for filing a case under this Act, for offenses as minor as verbal abuse, creates a obvious perverse incentive. Up to 50% of this amount is disbursed upon the filing of the FIR alone, requiring no prior investigation. Another 25% is paid when the chargesheet is filed. The best part is, if the case is later proven false, the compensation is not automatically recovered. How could this setup not encourage misuse?
2. There is no requirement for a preliminary inquiry. Someone makes a complaint, and you are arrested, that's it. With anticipatory bail explicitly barred, you are left entirely at the mercy of the legal system. Depending on your financial resources, getting bail can take anywhere from a few days to many years; a man in UP spent 20 years in jail before being acquitted of false charges. While defenders of the law argue that the innocent will eventually be freed, the process itself becomes the punishment. Why should innocent individuals endure humiliation and severe mental, physical, financial, and social hardship in the name of skewed social justice?
3. There are virtually no consequences for deliberate false accusations. A complainant can fabricate allegations, land an innocent person in prison, collect govt compensation, be exposed as a liar in court, and still face zero accountability. Instead, they can simply play the victim, claiming that the justice system fails the marginalized.
This framework has spawned a lucrative extortion ecosystem. Syndicates exploit the threat of non-bailable arrest to blackmail citizens, business owners, and public officials. When unverified cash payouts, absolute immunity, and guaranteed incarceration align, a law designed to shield the vulnerable inevitably becomes a tool for institutionalized extortion.

#MirzapurTheMovie: WINNER.

PEAK MASS ENTERTAINER... The iconic web series gets a big-screen upgrade тАУ and the result is a roaring, ruthless, razor-sharp entertainer that works big time... SURE-SHOT HIT. #MirzapurTheMovieReview
This is IMPORTANT... #MirzapurTheMovie doesn't feel like a stretched-out episode of the series... IT FEELS LIKE A FILM тАУ larger, louder, and far more cinematic, while retaining the raw flavour, attitude, and spirit that made the web series a phenomenon.
The biggest strength is the writing [Puneet Krishna] тАУ sharp, crisp, and loaded with punchlines... Power struggles, revenge, betrayal, and emotions are woven together smartly, ensuring the narrative never loses its grip.
Every confrontation crackles with tension, every exchange carries attitude, and several dialogues are certain to find their way into conversations outside the cinema hall.
Director Gurmmeet Singh handles the material with confidence, striking the right balance between drama, action, humour, and emotion without diluting the core DNA of #Mirzapur.
Action has always been integral to the #Mirzapur universe and the action here is raw, brutal, and massy... The big-screen treatment adds scale, intensity, and impact, with several whistle-worthy moments.
There's not much scope for music here, and the few songs тАУ including #SansonKiMala тАУ are seamlessly woven into the narrative... The background score, however, is BEYOND OUTSTANDING тАУ it not only elevates the impact of key moments, but takes the overall cinematic experience several notches higher.
Negatives? Yes, the film dips towards the beginning of the second half... But, thankfully, the entire pre-climax-to-climax stretch, shot against the breathtaking sand dunes of #Jaisalmer, leaves you completely awestruck.
The second half also feels slightly stretched and could've certainly benefitted from some trimming... That said, the ending between #GudduPandit [#AliFazal] and #MunnaTripathi [#Divyenndu] is hilarious тАУ while also dropping a clear hint that the next chapter in the #Mirzapur universe is already on the cards.
The actors bring the swagger, menace, vulnerability and intensity that the #Mirzapur universe demands.
The film boasts a massive ensemble cast, and every performer leaves you thoroughly impressed with their impeccable work... #PankajTripathi [exceptional], #RaviKishan [outstanding], #AliFazal [fantastic], #Divyenndu [excellent], #JitendraKumar [superb], #AbhishekBanerjee [too good], #MohitMalik [first-rate], #RajeshTailang [wonderful], #PramodPathak [super], and #SushantSingh [flawless] тАУ every actor gets his moments and leaves a lasting impression.
#RasikaDugal has an interesting part тАУ and there's a twist тАУ and she shines... #SonalChauhan does well, #SheebaChaddha is pitch-perfect as always, while #ShriyaPilgaonkar is competent.
Final word? Razor-sharp writing, killer dialogues, superb performances, high-voltage drama, and explosive action make this a treat for #Mirzapur fans тАУ and a thoroughly engaging, crowd-pleasing ride even for those who haven't watched the series.

I am appalled by this course of treatment. Yesterday, a 60-year-old woman developed lower back pain and went to someone in the local market for a consultation. That person administered all these injections in a single go: Diclofenac, Nandrolone Decanoate, Piroxicam, and Dexona, along with a Zerodol tablet. It is shocking how they play games with a patient's health like this.
