That’s what Yasmine Mohamed Muizzu told a group of Maldivian friends studying in UK.

I don’t find it funny at all.

There are real people in Maldives struggling just to afford 3 meals a day. Families are struggling, parents are skipping meals so their children can eat, and yet she and her family seem completely detached from reality. People are barely making ends meet while she casually calls herself a princess.

The President and his family are public servants, not rulers. Instead of acting entitled, Yasmine should focus on being more down to earth and using her privilege to help those in need.
