@JLLiedl You can start your financial accounting class with a prayer but at the end of the day, kids are there to study accounting and get their degree. I don’t really understand the point. Like +Rhoades is no liberal but he gets along with ND pretty well.
@JLLiedl I just don’t understand what he’s actually trying to accomplish. Is this just a veiled statement to tell universities to hire more Catholic faculty? Have students take more theology classes - ie require 4 instead of 2? Mandate Mass?
@JLLiedl So even if you add in conservative faculty or try to admit more Catholic kids (although I have no clue how you “measure” the faith of a teenager), the experience really is still a primarily academic and social one.
@JLLiedl Even if you do all those, kids are going there for an academic return on investment. For most students, the primary purpose of university is skill and career building.
