They misdiagnosed his late 2019 injury- and realized it was a stress fracture to his first rib (same area of concern as now) 6 months later in March 2020. He was going to miss the beginning of the season due to this (but then Covid hit). I wouldn’t be surprised if Judge wants to be extra extra cautious here and get every possible test so they don’t have same issue as last time.
In March 2020, they discovered that he had a stress fracture in the first rib which is the area of concern. We don’t remember this because a week later way more important news struck. But it was a huge deal that it took them SIX months to realize that was his issue and he was misdiagnosed end of 2019. Wouldn’t surprise me if Judge is being extra precautious and going for extra tests based on what happened back then.
@ChrisCoop_ Cabby can’t play everywhere. But he needs to be at SS or 3B every night when judge and Stanton are both out. Defense and pitching will be the key.
@ChrisCoop_ You forgot Volpe slow playing the grounder in the 8th that should have been an out and might have led to 3 runs. Rosario was a rough watch tonight- Boone also let him hit vs two righties. Prob was trying to protect Grish and Jazz matchups in the 7th. Overthink. Outmanaged
@yankeesondeck_@Yank0022 Volpe took Grichuk’s spot. Stanton back soon and Shu will be sent down then. Also Jasson back soon. No place for Grich even though he’s a good hitter
@yankeesondeck_ He was in a terrible slump before hitting the bomb off of a brutal Bailey Falter and then a homer on a 40 mph pitch from an OF. Look under the hood.
@DannyDeraney@Yankees What fundamentals did you have an issue with? Volpe goes to second to try to draw the throw on a cut off guarantee that Jazz scores the go ahead run . Players are taught to do that. Fundamentals have not been an issue with the 2026 team.
