What we've learnt building payment infrastructure from Tanzania. Three lessons from the trenches:

1. Banks & Financial institutions move slow. Until they don’t.

Getting a bank partner took 18 months of conversations. Then one meeting with the right person changed everything. Right partners go a long long way.

2. Mobile money is king, respect it.
60%+ of Tanzanians use mobile money. Any payment product that ignores M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money is dead on arrival. We built @ntzs_co to plug into mobile money & banks, not replace it. Just make it more programmable

3. Regulation isn’t the enemy.
Regulators are watching and that’s good. We want @ntzs_co to be compliant, auditable, and trusted. Working with regulators directly not around them is the path for us and the sandbox is the first step.
