Okay, let me put it in a way you’ll understand.
Would your feelings about that video be different if a white woman were seen on the streets of Lagos being wheeled around in a cart by a Black man?
I know for sure that if that same scene played out in any African country, the public reaction would be very different. You know it, and I know it too.

I hate to bring negative energy into the discussion, but let’s reverse the situation. If a Japanese man or a Westerner, dressed in traditional Japanese or Western regalia , were being wheeled around in a city say in Lagos, many of you thin skin will immediately call it racism and all the bla bla bla of victimhood and all the boring trite you all like to throw around !

Once again, thanks for putting it more succinctly.

The idea that the West should be blamed for every problem in Africa, as some so-called Pan-Africanists argue, is not only weak but also laughable. It becomes even more ironic when you realize that they rely on technology developed in the West, communicate in English rather than their native languages, and often use Western standards as the lens through which they view the rest of the world.

The hypocrisy writes itself and for me , it nothing but a boring trite .

Africa needs to take responsibility for once !
