I have an idea that could revolutionize the Inscriptions/Ordinals hype which has been limited by inefficient filesizes, complex encoding/decoding schemes, and public perception that the fad is polluting the #Bitcoin blockchain.
@cguida6@GrassFedBitcoin I'm just being consistent over a 10+ year period, but guess what? I still respect you guys and I support what you're trying to do, but you're absolutely screwing the pooch in terms of execution and it's sad to see you resorting to these tactics.
@GrassFedBitcoin@cguida6 Are you amnesiac? You had a front row seat to that era, same as I did. You know exactly how it went down and yet you're pretending you don't. Why?
@GrassFedBitcoin@cguida6 Segwit was an uphill battle but had pretty broad consensus. Most of the contention was from a few corrupt chinese miners and a small number of loud trolls. The same trolls whose tactics you're mimicking today. Anyways, good luck with your PR campaign.
@cguida6@GrassFedBitcoin No Chris. I'm telling you that the text you "remember" reading literally didn't exist in 2016 when segwit was implemented. The fact that you're asking Grok which is referencing Bcash propaganda just makes this all the more stupid.
@cguida6@GrassFedBitcoin You don't remember it because the reddit redesign wasn't pushed widely until ~2018, so the truncated rule version that Mechanic screenshot did not exist in 2016. As you were saying?
@GrassFedBitcoin@cguida6 I assume you're using reddit's redesign which probably had a character limit that prevented the rule from being included in full. I agree that the truncated version should be reworded so they match better. This is the rule in place since 2016.
@GrassFedBitcoin@cguida6 How convenient that the rules suddenly become a farce because you've failed to find consensus for your BIP. Comparing segwit to what you're doing is unserious. You should meditate on why segwit ultimately succeeded.
@cguida6@GrassFedBitcoin You're out of your depth Chris. Mechanic can testify that I've supported his efforts for quite some time, but he knew exactly what reaction he'd get if he started pushing to activate a contentious protocol change.
@GrassFedBitcoin On the contrary, you were trolling and seeing what kind of promotion you could get away with. You got exactly what you wanted.
Discussion of BIP110 has always been permitted, but now that you're pushing a contentious protocol change, you've made our jobs a lot more difficult.
@GrassFedBitcoin You're probing for ways to continue violating the subreddit's rules. I honestly thought you were more honorable than that. What a damn shame.
