$5,000 gold is back in play, and $10,000 is a matter of 'when, not if' - State Street’s Doshi

(Kitco News) - Gold’s recent correction appears to have done little to damage its long-term investment case, and with concerns over unsustainable sovereign debt returning to the forefront of global financial markets, one strategist sees $5,000 an ounce by year-end firmly back in play.

However, Aakash Doshi, Head of Gold Strategy at @StateStreet Investment Management, said in an interview with Kitco News that investors should be thinking beyond gold’s next milestone. In the current global fiscal environment, he sees $10,000 #gold as ultimately a question of timing rather than possibility.

Allah begins with أفرأيتم (Have you considered?), a rhetorical awakening that pulls you out of heedlessness and forces you to reflect on the ayah.

The verb تُمْنُونَ comes from the root م ن ي (m-n-y), which in classical Arabic carries the idea of pouring forth, placing in measure, and determining destiny. In Qur’anic usage here, it refers to the human reproductive fluid, but not in a purely biological sense alone. The word choice carries the deeper meaning of something measured, directed, and decreed, not random or self-originating.

أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ
A sharp divine interrogation that dismantles human illusion of autonomy. The structure is exclusive: either you create it, or We do. There is no 3rd possibility. The repetition of questioning builds certainty, not doubt.

These verses strike at the foundation of human arrogance: origin.
Allah does not ask about achievements, but about beginnings. Why? Because the beginning exposes absolute dependence.

The Prophet ﷺ repeatedly directed attention to creation and resurrection in the Qur’an to awaken the heart from ghaflah (heedlessness).

The Qur’an does not just inform’it reorients perception.
A human being who forgets his origin imagines false independence.

The Salaf would pause at verses like this because they saw in them the cure for pride: you were not a decision-maker in your first moment, nor are you sustaining yourself now. You are continuously being maintained by Allah

The verse points to the earliest stage of human development: a microscopic cell beginning a highly regulated process of division, differentiation, and organization inside the womb.

A single cell becomes tissues, organs, consciousness, and identity through an orchestrated system that no human controls, only Allah.
