@duckyrumba I never finished any PJ books, but I feel like my favorite series ever, Artemis Fowl, is very much on the same spectrum of fantasy mixed with modernity. Just replace the Greek fantasy with more whimsical creature fantasy. Though even that aspect is modernized, in a good way.
