Oh my god. This is the line to get into Kamala Harris’ rally in Atlanta tonight. She doesn’t start speaking for another 2 hours. This is huge. The American people are fired up and ready to elect VP Harris!

@chipfranklin Better to focus our resources on public education and teaching civics (a strong public education system is the hallmark of a strong democracy) and ridding our country of Faux News, Newsmax, OAN, and the like.
And it gave me the time to concentrate on what matters - growing individual giving. Nonprofit fundraising can suck - hunger games contests, unwieldy grant apps, golf outings, and galas (for the most part). But we have the CHOICE as to whether we participate or not. (3/3)
Foundations do not represent the entirety that is philanthropy (less than 20% actually). We ALWAYS have a choice. No foundation is FORCING you to submit a grant proposal. When I was the solo fundraiser, growing revenue for small orgs, I focused my grant efforts (1/3)
on those foundations supporting general operating and w/ the least onerous application processes. What that meant was that our org had a strong base of foundation general operating support from smaller grants - $1,000 to $10k typically. Far far easier to administer. (2/3)
