@grahamcclark1 I've never understood the whole "okay I just tried [thing] for the first time... [generalized take about said thing with some sort of conviction]."
@redrummarts I'd argue Exile and Let It Bleed give the Beatles a run for their money (I love both records as much as I love the white album and revolver)
I disliked Exile when I first listened to it, but it grew on me over time, and I now think it's one of the best rock and roll records (and the stones best). Meanwhile, Sticky Fingers has appealed less to me over time. Gotta let things simmer (for better or for worse lol)
I just listened to "Exile on Main St" in its entirety for the first time. It really is a boring-ass album, I think everyone was right to reject it at first. The Rolling Stones are the only band I can think of where the big hits really are the best of what they have to offer.

@AgallochEnjoyer you didn't ask but based on your favorite subgenres i highly recommend these two albums: Beachwood Sparks (leans more into the alt/indie rock and pop side but with a country-psyche twist), Poor Little Critter on the Road (country side project by punk band X)
@polishleprecha1 check out any album by the American Analog Set: "American post rock/slowcore band founded in 1995 in Fort Worth, Texas and based in Austin, Texas."
