62 years ago today the first hip replacement was performed by Professor Sir John Charnley at Wrightington Hospital.
A prestigious blue plaque was today unveiled by his son Tristram Charnley and the Mayor of Wigan outside the centre for hip surgery.
We would like to thank our faculty, delegates and sponsors for attending and supporting the #WIAM2024 meeting.
The meeting would not have been possible without you all and the amazing @clockworkmed team.
@66LindsayJay @ArthrexUK Good to see you and glad you had a good and informative time at the course. And thanks for your support during our PRP lists as always 👍🏼 🙌🏼 😊
