It’s swarm season. Picked up a few honey bee swarms this weekend. Swarms appear as big clumps of bees and are the start of a new hive. They are often hanging out looking for a new home. If you see these please do not spray and call a local beekeeper.

Plan lots of time to thaw out and clean off those cars tomorrow morning and give yourself plenty of time to take it slow on the way to school. Ice looks awesome... but it is so not fun to clean up or drive in.
Students in Alternative Energy spent the last few days learning about basic electricity, circuits, schematics and soldering by creating basic series, parallel and series parallel circuits with LED’s.
Students in Alternative Energy are working on re-designing the landscape of Bacon Academy for energy efficiency. New designs include summer shading, edible landscapes, aesthetics and winter wind breaks.
